Before delving into this particular choice, it's essential to understand the term "carat" and its significance in measuring the purity of gold, the precious metal we use. Carat is often denoted by "k" or "ct."

The higher the carat, the purer the gold.

Pure gold, at 24 carats, has a legal fineness of 999 thousandths, representing 99.99% pure gold. However, pure gold is extremely malleable, necessitating the addition of other metals to increase its durability. Silver and copper are commonly used for this purpose, resulting in variations in the color of gold based on the proportions used in the alloy.

18-carat gold, with a fineness of 750 thousandths, comprises 75% gold. Renowned jewelry houses often utilize 18-carat gold due to its numerous advantages, including strength, solidity, and prestige.

There are also gold variations such as 14-carat gold (585 thousandths), composed of 58.5% pure gold, and 9-carat gold (375 thousandths), composed of 37.5% pure gold. While these lower-carat gold types are prevalent in the jewelry industry, they possess less value than 18-carat gold due to their lower concentration of pure gold. Consequently, these metals are less durable, more prone to scratches, and susceptible to oxidation.

For all our jewelry, we have deliberately chosen 18-carat gold for its precious and timeless qualities, seamlessly harmonizing with the essence of our creations.

PS: Please be mindful not to confuse "carat" as a unit of weight for diamonds or other precious stones.

DIAMOND CHAINS

Radiant chains, meticulously crafted in 18-carat gold, available in three captivating gold colors. Effortlessly luminous, our diamond-cut chains are exquisitely thin, casting a brilliant shine upon your skin.

EARRING CLASP

For our earrings, we have opted for the Alpha clasp, commonly found in fine jewelry. This clasp, made entirely of 18-carat gold, provides both security and comfort.

The clasp features a spring mechanism that engages with pressure. By pressing the small elevations on each side, the clasp can be effortlessly inserted or removed. This secure design ensures the earrings won't fall out, as they securely slide into a small notch when retracted. It offers easy and swift adjustment for comfortable and safe wear.
